New to the SCA?

The Society for Creative Anachronism is an international organization dedicated to researching and re-creating the arts and skills of pre-17th-century Europe. Our “Known World” consists of 20 kingdoms, with over 30,000 members residing in countries around the world. Members, dressed in clothing of the Middle Ages and Renaissance, attend events which feature tournaments, royal courts, feasts, dancing, various classes & workshops, and more.

What is a Coronation?

A King or Queen's reign in the Kingdom of the Middle (Midwest Region of the SCA) runs for six months, give or take, with a Coronation in the Fall and Spring as the heirs ascend their thrones, and a Crown Tournament follows not too long thereafter to determine the new heirs by right of arms.
The current Royals are Their Royal Majesties William and Isolde. On September 23rd they will be stepping down and Their Heirs, Their Royal Highnesses Cellach and Vukasin will be stepping up.

Free Public Tours

Free tours will be offered to the public from 1pm-3pm. Each tour will be a walking 30 minute guided tour and will include information about the SCA, local branches, and the varies activities that are going on. Tours leave every 15 minutes.
If you would like to stay and enjoy the rest of the day's activities, you can do so by purchasing a site ticket after the tour.
